Use Case: IP Anchoring

Many organisations have a requirement to consume services that require whitelisting a predictable IP address. By default, consuming a SaaS proxy service means you share IP addresses with other customers.

There are multiple ways to achieve this outcome with Skyhigh.

Next Hop Proxy (NHP)

In this architecture, a Next Hop Proxy ruleset is defined in the cloud. This will forward defined traffic to another proxy. In this case, we can define our next hop as a Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway appliance, meaning that traffic can then inherit the IP of the appliance. Security rule enforcement will still be handled in the cloud.
